How to capture, raise, and use companion pets in 7DS Origin
Pets are companion creatures in Seven Deadly Sins: Origin that you can capture in the wild. There are three types — Flight, Ride, and Summon — each serving a different purpose. This guide covers everything about the pet system.
Pet Types
Flight Pet
Flying pets let you soar through the skies for fast travel and reaching elevated areas. Essential for exploration.
Examples: Dragon Hawk, Sky Eagle
Ride Pet
Riding pets provide faster ground movement speed. Great for covering large distances across the open world.
Examples: War Horse, Black Wolf
Summon Pet
Summon pets fight alongside you in combat. They provide extra DPS and can draw enemy aggro.
Examples: Forest Wolf, Fire Fox
How to Capture Pets
Complete "How to Make Friends" Quest
This Region Quest in Liones (Werebear Camp) introduces the pet system. You'll meet Ashu, who teaches you how to capture pets and asks you to catch your first one.
Assign Potion of Charm to Quick Slot
Before battle, assign a Potion of Charm to a quick slot from your inventory. You can't open your bag during combat (taking damage forces you out), so prepare beforehand.
Weaken the Creature
Fight the creature and reduce its HP. The lower the health, the higher the capture chance. Don't kill it — leave some HP remaining.
Throw the Potion of Charm
When the creature's health is low, use the Potion of Charm from your quick slot. Higher-tier potions provide better capture rates.
How to Spawn Pets
1. Equip a Pet — Open the Pet Menu and assign a pet to each slot (Flight, Ride, Summon). You need one for each type.
2. Use the Spawn Buttons — Each pet type has a dedicated button in the overworld. Press it to call your companion.
3. Switch Freely — You can quickly switch between Flight, Ride, and Summon companions using their respective buttons.
