Gacha & Pity System Explained

Everything about summoning, pull rates, and pity in 7DS Origin

Last updated: March 23, 2026

Understanding the gacha system is crucial for efficient resource management in Seven Deadly Sins: Origin. This guide explains how summoning works, exact pull rates, the pity system, and how to make the most of your Diamonds.

How Gacha Works

The gacha system lets you spend Diamonds or Hero Draw Tickets to summon characters. Each summon has a chance to yield an R, SR, or SSR character based on fixed probability rates.

You can do single pulls (1 at a time) or multi-pulls (10 at once). Multi-pulls guarantee at least one SR or higher, making them significantly better value.

Always do multi-pulls (10x) — the guaranteed SR+ makes single pulls strictly worse unless you're 1 pull from pity.

Pull Rates

RarityBase RateNotes
SSR (Legendary)1.5%Rate-up character gets 50% of SSR rate on featured banners
SR (Hero)8.5%Guaranteed at least 1 per multi-pull
R (Rare)90%Most common result

Pity System

The pity system guarantees an SSR character after a certain number of pulls without one. This counter persists across sessions and is visible on the banner details screen.

Soft Pity

SSR rate increases gradually after ~60 pulls

Hard Pity

Guaranteed SSR at 80 pulls (resets on SSR pull)

Does pity carry over?

Pity carries over between rate-up banners of the same type, but NOT between different banner types (Standard, Limited, etc.). Check the banner details for your current pity count.

Summoning Tips

Complete the Beginner Banner first — it has the best rates and guaranteed SSR.

Save for limited banners — limited characters are usually the strongest and rarely rerun.

Check the Best Banners to Pull page before spending Diamonds.

Track your pity — if you're close to pity, finish it even on a non-ideal banner.

Don't chase duplicates early — roster breadth beats single-character investment for new players.
