Craft Healing Items with Buffs
Cooking creates HP recovery items using specific ingredient combinations. Most dishes also provide buffs like increased attack and defense power — essential for tough boss fights.
Earn Star Fragments from Achievements
Cooking has multiple achievements that reward Star Fragments. Cook dishes of varying rarities to unlock these rewards.
Hawk Eats Failed Dishes
When cooking fails, you create Scraps. Feed these to Hawk for a mysterious power boost — "Unknown power is coursing through me."
How to Unlock Cooking
Requirement: Book of Stars Level 3
Cooking unlocks when you reach Level 3 on the Book of Stars. This happens naturally during the Act 1 tutorial, so all players will unlock it early in the game.
How to Cook
Gather Flint and Steel
Break minerals in the overworld to obtain Flint. This is essential for cooking and can be easily obtained through mining.
Find and Interact with a Campfire
Campfires can be found in front of houses and food merchants. You can also craft and place your own via the workbench. Higher-quality campfires allow more ingredients.
Choose Ingredients and Cook
The dish depends on your ingredient combination. Keep experimenting — after cooking a dish multiple times, you unlock its recipe for quick-craft.
