Everything new players need to know about Seven Deadly Sins: Origin
First Steps
Welcome to Seven Deadly Sins: Origin! As a new player, your first priority should be completing the main story. The story mode serves as your tutorial and unlocks most of the game's features.
Before you do anything else:
- Redeem all active codes for free rewards
- Check our reroll guide if you haven't done your first summons yet
- Collect all pre-registration rewards from your mailbox
- Join the official Discord for community tips and code drops
Combat Basics
7DS Origin features real-time action combat in an open world. Unlike the turn-based Grand Cross, Origin lets you directly control your character and dodge attacks.
Elements matter: Fire beats Earth, Earth beats Water, Water beats Fire. Light and Dark are strong against each other.
Skill combos: Chain skills together for bonus damage. Each character has a unique combo route — experiment to find the optimal rotation.
Dodge timing: Invincibility frames (i-frames) during dodge are generous. Learn boss attack patterns and dodge at the right moment.
Team switching: You can switch between party members mid-combat. Use this to manage cooldowns and exploit elemental weaknesses.
Progression Path
Follow this general progression order for the most efficient start:
- Main Story (Chapter 1-5) — Unlocks most game features and gives excellent rewards
- Character Enhancement — Level up and enhance your main DPS first, then your healer
- Equipment — Farm gear sets from dungeons. Focus on Attack sets for DPS, HP sets for tanks
- Daily Dungeons — Start running these as soon as they unlock for enhancement materials
- Side Quests & Exploration — Great source of diamonds and upgrade materials
- PvP Arena — Unlock at Chapter 3. Even losing gives rewards, so participate daily

Spending diamonds on stamina refills early
Save diamonds for limited banners. Stamina management improves as you progress.

Focus on 4 characters max for your main team. Quality over quantity.
Ignoring elemental advantages
Always bring the right element to tough fights. It's a 30% damage difference.
Skipping side quests
Side quests give diamonds and materials. They're worth the time.
